Handmade pottery is oven safe to 400 degree Fahrenheit. 

Do not use under broiler or on direct heat source such as a grill or stovetop. 

Pottery is also microwave safe, but do not microwave a nearly empty vessel. 

And, finally, pottery is dishwasher safe.  Treat it like you would your glassware so as to not chip edges.
